Fred
 Available for adoption
Fostered in London, Ontario

My name is Fred and I’m a timid little black kitten who came from a feral colony. I am currently learning the ropes of indoor life, and my foster family says I’m warming up more and more every single day. I am about 11-12 weeks old. While I tend to hide, especially when I’m uncomfortable, I will eventually come out to play if the environment is quiet and there are only a few, quiet, people around. With the right time, love, and patience, I will eventually come out of my shell and not be so scared. I am able to be handled but prefer that you not pick me up if you don’t have to. Maybe eventually I’ll get there, though! Once I learn that human hands are kind. If I’m feeling safe around you, I will come and sleep nearby to let you know I am here. I am starting to interact more with toys and will even sometimes play with toys with my humans. I love to play with my siblings, Georgie and Henry, and come out of my shell most when they’re around. I would do great to be adopted with a sibling, or into a home with another playful cat who will help me continue coming out of my shell. I think I would do best in a home without dogs, though I may be able to learn to cohabitate with a quiet or older dog. I would do best in a quiet family who will give me time and space while I continue to learn that all of this new stuff is safe. Because of this, I would do best in a home without young children who may not know how to handle scared kittens - I think I’d do best with kids over 10 years old. An adoption fee of one hundred and fifty applies to me. I have been neutered, dewormed, am up to date on relevant vaccines, and ready to go to my new home! If you’d like to apply to adopt me or any of my kitty friends, please click above!
